Dave was awarded The National Caricaturist Network's Golden Nosey Award as Caricaturist of the Year and is recognized as a Master Caricaturist by the NCN. He has won the Drawing for Best Likeness Award from the NCN and the same award in the NCN Masters Division in competition against other Golden Nosey Award winners.

He has also been featured in Southern Living Magazine. Hilarious caricatures flow from Dave's marker as he also achieves great likenesses of his subjects, twice winning best drawing for likeness awards at the NCN convention. Humorous drawings, along with Dave's razor sharp wit make for a very fun addition to any event.

Dave is a graduate of The University of North Carolina and a member of The Southeast Chapter of The National Cartoonist Society. In Dave's own words he's "more laid back than Van Gogh, and taller than Picasso."
