About Faces Entertainment's April 2016 Newsletter

About Faces Entertainment April 2016
Benny sniffed around. "Woof..." he barked, and sure enough, spring had come. He trotted over to his owner to get a pat for that important announcement. Being a dog is a busy job.

The thing his owners would never say-- not to his face-- is that Benny was late. Spring had already come! In retrospect, lateness is all around us. You could be late to your own party, and that would be fine with the guests...They wouldn't even notice, especially if you'd booked some amazing entertainers with About Faces.
And The Featured Entertainer Of April Is...
1. Describe the type of entertainment you provide.
I provide caricature drawings, both digital caricature and paper, and face painting, to the Phoenix Scottsdale area of Arizona.

2. When and how did you get into this business?
In 2003, I worked at Discount Tire, and put up a sign in my cube saying that I did face painting.  I painted at my co-workers' parties and at the Discount Tire spring picnic.
In 2014, I was trying to get better at caricatures, when I met [caricature artist] Chris C. at an event. He introduced me to some artists and showed me some tricks. I've been working very hard to get better at them ever since!

3. What is the most memorable event you have ever worked at?
Face paint by Dianne N
Once, I worked digital caricatures for four days at an animal testing convention. I got to talk to the scientists that test the animals. I asked one guy that tested cancer drugs on rats, "So, how are you able to just turn cancer on in an animal?" I hope, one day, they can turn it off.

4. What is one thing you'd like everyone to know about you?
I work so hard to be as perfect and as fast as I can. I like my face painting to be as clean as humanly possible. With my caricatures I find that getting the likeness is the most rewarding part of drawing these beautiful folks, and I'll do my best to get a likeness in a gorgeous drawing that people can keep for years to come!
1. About-face - act of pivoting 180 degrees, especially in a military formation

2. About face - a major change in attitude or principle or point of view

3. About Faces - an agency that has been supplying entertainment for the nation since 1989

People who don't want to hire About Faces would benefit from an about face. If you can't find an agency, then about-face: turn around! About Faces (the entertainment agency) is right here to provide you with what you require!
