Steve B - Florida Caricature Artists

Steve B

Steve began studying how to draw when he was eight, started getting paid for his portraits when he was ten and started doing caricatures when he was twelve. Drawing caricatures and portraits was a paying hobby through high school and his career in the military. He studied the masters, successful street artists/entertainers and experimented on his own. After leaving the military, Steve started his own business as an artist/entertainer and has been "the Artist" at Player's Cafe in Ponte Vedra where he has drawn over 3000 faces on the walls, aboard "La Cruise" casino for the twelve years she was in Mayport and for the "Fishing Connection" since it's inception. He has also drawn and entertained at countless parties, promotions, conventions, receptions, bar/b't mitzvahs, reunions and other fun-time gather-ups.

Steve prefers to be an artist and an entertainer. He plays to the peanut gallery while doing his drawings and doesn't mind folks looking over his shoulder while he draws. He adapts to the crowd and situation, entertaining children with g-rated drawings or pushing the envelop at adult parties. Steve draws caricatures in a variety of styles from big-head-little-body "theme park" to 19th century political cartoon but he best known for his comic book "Sketchiture". He also draws pets and funny rear view ketches of individuals or groups!
