Chuck B - Maryland Hypnotists

Chuck B

Chuck is a professional entertainer with over 20 years experience bringing joy and delight to audiences across the nation and around the world. This is his story, and, believe it or not, he's proud of it. It all started at a NEW YEAR'S EVE party at the dawn of 1950 (actually around 11:45, 1949), when Sonnie turned to her husband and wistfully said, "Aaaahhhhh! I'm going into labor (which is probably better than going into politics)." The next day, Jan. 1, 1950, Chuck was born, and a grateful world has been celebrating that date ever since. (No one has the heart to tell him they celebrated before 1950 as well.)

Many years later, in high school, Chuck was bitten by the Acting Bug. The school nurse dressed the wound, and told him to stay home 'till he got over it. But, NOOO! Shortly after, Chuck joined the infamous cast of the POLY FOLLIES, his school's all-male musical comedy production where men played both male and female roles. It was then that he formed an attachment that would last his entire life. But enough about fishnet stockings. He also got hooked on the SHOW BIZ.

In later years, Chuck performed in various productions around Baltimore, and became a founding member of The Maryland Documentary Theatre. No one could remember how it got lost, however. Even later, (close to midnight, I think) Chuck got work at THEATRE PROJECT - no pay, just work. Soon he became a full staff member, and helped develop the Baltimore Neighborhood Arts Circus, where he polished his skill as a magician, juggler, comedian, fire eater, and part time referee. It was then that Chuck and two other performers became The All American Mini Circus. Soon, they spanned the globe, bringing their special brand of humour and excitement to U.S. Servicemen abroad.

Stage Show: A few tips for your Hypnotism Show

The Comedy Hypnotism Show is the perfect example of an audience participation event. Willing spectators transform into the primary players in this fascinating experiment. As in any performance, success depends on planning and preparation. To that end, we would like to make you aware of some things that will make your Comedy Hypnotism Show a stunning success.

1. There should be at least 40 people in the audience. Although nearly everyone can be hypnotized, only about 10 - 15 per cent can go into the hypnotic state quickly, deeply, and easily. These people make the best participants. Obviously, with more people in attendance, we are likely to find several good, willing subjects.

2. Because of the delicate nature of the hypnotic induction process, it is necessary to get the full cooperation of the audience in the beginning of the show. The selection of participants and the induction requires a great deal of concentration and focus. Loud chatter and a noisy atmosphere can easily disrupt that concentration, and everyone needs to be sensitive to that circumstance. After the induction process, the participants will be in a deeply relaxed state, and quiet is no longer a must.

3. The physical layout of the performance area is also important. This show is best when performed in a standard theater configuration. It is not a good idea to have the audience on all sides, or to have food tables between the audience and the performance area. Further, it is best to set-up the show where it will not be disturbed. Next to the kitchen door at a restaurant, or a space the audience must traverse to get to the bathroom are not the best choices for a successful event.

4. The Comedy Hypnotism Show is most successful when it has the complete focus of the evening. It is impossible to have a good show in one corner of a banquet hall, while the karaoke machine operates in another. If you keep these HYPNOTIC SUGGESTIONS in mind when planning your event, the chances of having a SMASH HIT are greatly enhanced.
