Grant graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration. He studied and got his start drawing caricatures under Tom Richmond, a nationally known caricature artist with credits including Mad Magazine.
He established and/or operated caricature concessions at Mall of America, Minneapolis, MN, Valley Fair Themepark, Shakopee, MN, Stratosphere Tower Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, NV, Parkway Plaza, El Cajon CA, Outside of Canes in Mission Beach, CA, Plaza Bonita Mall in National City, CA and at The Shops at Las Americas, San Ysidro CA.
As of 2004 Grant has entertained at over 800 private and public functions in Minnesota and California
